The Blooming Generation is primarily a monthly draw which is supported by approximately 90% of the village households.

 Numbers can be bought for £1 each and the draws are usually held on the last Saturday in each month in one of the village pubs.

 Six money prizes totalling £100 are awarded each month and in December a total of £200 is distributed in prize money together with many additional gifts.

 

The residue of the money from the prize fund goes into organising parties and activities for the village over the year when babies, toddlers, children and teenagers up to the age of 15 are catered for.  In addition, a cream tea is arranged in the summer and a party for senior citizens at Christmas.
